For people that have a few thousand dollars to spend, it’s easiest and most effective for them to simply pay someone to put hair back on their head. Hair Transplantation is of course not the most simple of hair restoration techniques as it is technically a form of surgery. However, for many people, it works just great.
I personally have chosen to just stick to hair loss products that re-grow hair naturally. It has turned out to be pretty cheap for me, and I also don’t really like the thought of having to get surgery. Lucky for me, I was in the early stages of hair loss when I started using Provillus, which grew a lot of my hair back naturally.
One problem with hair loss is that there is a point at which your hair follicles have been dormant for long enough that there is really no way they will ever produce hair again. I was apparently ahead of that point, but if you have been balding for quite a while, many products will simply stop FUTURE hair loss, but will not be able to re-grow hair.
Most people who do get a hair transplant are happy with the results. There is not a 100% success rate, meaning that not all hair grafts are successful at continuing to grow hair after they are transplanted. However, that’s not incredibly common. If it does happen, you may be able to work through your doctor for a partial refund. Be sure to ask about this BEFORE you commit to the surgery though, because afterwards it’s really too late to negotiate anything.
No matter who you talk to decide to talk to about hair transplant surgery, it’s a great idea to have a lot of different options to choose from. Ask to talk to some of the doctor’s past patients, and make sure they know you are shopping around, so they will be sure to give you the best price available for your hair transplant surgery.
